Frequently Asked Questions

What’s unique about providing HVAC services in the Southeast?2017-08-01T21:04:53-05:00

Providing HVAC services in the southeast is complicated by the amount of attention and system resources required to address humidity levels. System sizing is greatly influenced by humidity. Over sizing or under sizing can both give less than optimum efficiency and performance. Bigger is not always better.

Understanding how humidity affects the operation of an HVAC system is important both to the service technicians and installers.

Why do you recommend and sell Trane products?2017-09-07T12:32:33-05:00

We sell Trane because it is unique in so many ways. Trane compressors and coils are only available in Trane equipment and are unlike any other manufacturer. The long development history of the Trane system makes it one of the most reliable systems on the market.

As a Trane Comfort Specialist Dealer, you can rely on both our products and services. Trane offers its contractors training in all new changes and improvement to their systems, ensuring we are able to serve you with the most up to date knowledge available.

Our team of experts has more than 100 years combined experience in residential HVAC. With this kind of experience and knowledge under our belts, it’s no wonder Hughes & Mullenix is one of the most trusted names in HVAC in West Alabama. You can count on us to put our experience to work for you and to provide the quality service that you deserve.

What special qualifications does the team have?2017-08-01T21:10:48-05:00

Two key elements to our success are experience and training. Our metal workers have been with our company for many years. We have little employee turnover, which gives us experienced installers and craftsmen. Our service mechanics are NATE certified and attend Trane annual training sessions, as well as sessions with other providers.
